Jo Lively has been DJing for several years now, taking her lively funky house sound
all over the UK and abroad.
       Jo's had guest spots at Progress / Derby, The Escape / Brighton,
Tunnel / Glasgow, The Gallery / London, Candy Store / Plymouth, The Void /
Stoke, Rise / Sheffield, The Cross / London, Tall Trees / Yarm, Club Earth/ Londonderry,
Coach / N.Ireland, Heaven / London, Vague / Leeds, Trash & Wonderland /Sheffield,
Hippo / Cardiff, Aquarium / London, Lovechild / Aberdeen, Access All Areas /
Leicester, Home / Manchester, Nice / Newcastle, Blue / Inverness, Temptation /
Newmarket, Les Bains Douche / Paris for David Guetta, Empire / Middlesborough,
Pod / Dublin, Delicious / Oswestry, Club UK, BCM/Majorca, Miss Moneypennys/ Birmingham,
Opera House/ Bournemouth, Zinc / Southend etc as well as University
gigs at Exeter, Cambridge, Durham, Nottingham, Warwick, Reading, Brighton,
Leicester, Dundee, Bangor & last years’ Oxford May Day Ball.
A trained classical pianist with a music degree, Jo likes a wide range of
music & is a versatile DJ. She is equally at home playing funky
house as she is playing disco, funk and rare groove at London's legendary Carwash
club, where she is a resident.
       Jo has held monthly residencies at The Escape club/Brighton, Club Earth/
N.Ireland and for Progress at the Void/ Stoke,  where her uplifting sets and glamorous
image earned her a strong following. She also played numerous Progress tours, &
Carwash tours around the UK, and Ministry tours at Dublin and Middlesborough.
Jo has also played across N. Ireland and Scotland & has had gigs in Malta,
Jersey & the south of France where she played at the Cannes Film Festival 98,
2000, 2002, 2004 & 2005.
Jo then went to Ibiza playing for Carwash at Es Paradis, Cafe Mambo &
Decadence at El Divino then she travelled to the Far East for gigs
in Hong Kong and Singapore. She also featured as the 4th highest female DJ in
DJ magazines Top 100 DJs, voted in at no. 60.
After that Jo started a residency at the Gardening club, London with an all
female line up, whilst continuing her guest spots around the country and abroad.
She also had bi-monthly residencies at Move / Ministry of Sound &
The Escape/ Brighton & played Club X111 / Moscow, BCM / Majorca, The
Hangar / Tel Aviv, Lovechild / Aberdeen, The Matrix / Reading, Candy Store /
Plymouth etc.
        Jo then went to S.America for gigs in Sao Paolo / Brazil, Uruguay &
Buenos Aires; she also played Cannes Film Festival , Area/Watford,
Return to the Source / London, Tunnel / Glasgow & judged a female DJ
competition & various promotions for Tia Maria / Xfade magazine.
Jo DJed at the Philip Salon/Boy George party for
"Taboo" @ Heaven, Piekarnia in Warsaw-Poland, Celine party with Boy George for
London Fashion week, and was booked throughout the summer for Carwash @ Eden,
Ibiza.
